Bible Study and Prayer Group (BSPG)

Bible Study and Prayer Group began in the Monninger Church in 1990. It was through the efforts of the following brethren: Brother Ebenezer Nartey, Sister Grace Ohemaa popularly called “Oley” sister Joana Nanor, who wanted the church to benefit from the spiritual blessing that they were receiving from the scripture union. When they came and shared the idea with some other members; Sisters Johanna Fleischer quickly embraced it and joined hands with them to form the group. Soon after the group was formed, Brother Samuel Otu Amoah, Paul Frimpong Boateng and Emmanuel Ansah Brefo joined the group to assist the founder to put on a strong foundation. These brethren were very selfless and worked relentlessly to bring the group to an enviable position which affected the numerical and spiritual strength of the church positively. Some of the activities of the group underwent 44 6OTH ANNIVERSARY THANKSGIVING SERVICE were prayers, Bible studies, devoting much time on new comers and backsliders which caused rapid growth to the church. Programmes are drawn for intensive evangelism which includes dawn broadcasting. There was also new convert class which prepared new comers for the mature class. At a point, the group members were about two hundred. Members and non-members of the group were experiencing great break through and numerous blessing through the above activities. Some members decided to enrol all their family members into the group, especially, their children hence the presentation of the Bible to the new born babies of the members of the group. It is our hope that as the Church turns 60 and the emergence of the B.S.P.G. with the other Prayer Group, there will be general revival of the church that will affect the growth of all the groups in the church.
